Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is Monday, December 4th - Friday, December 8th

Open enrollment ends on Friday, December 8th at 11:59 p.m. and elections are effective on January 1, 2024.  The 2024 Open Enrollment Guide is available here and the Open Enrollment Presentation is available here.  Please review both resources for more information on the medical plan changes for next year.  

Annual Open Enrollment is your opportunity to review your benefits and make changes for next year. You are unable to change your elections outside of Annual Open Enrollment without a Qualifying Life Event (such as marriage, birth of a child, divorce, spouse obtainment of other coverage, etc.). Your elections are effective from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. Your current elections will carry forward to next year. If you are enrolled in medical, you will be enrolled in the current medical plan at the same coverage level as 2023. However, we strongly encourage you to complete an active 2024 benefits enrollment. Once your enrollment is complete, please retain your Confirmation Statement for your records following open enrollment. If you complete an active enrollment election, you will receive a statement via email if we have an email address on record.

 

2024 Health Plan Updates:

  • Please review the plan information carefully and call the Benefits Service Center if you have any questions.
  • Lower team member payroll deductions for medical coverage
  • New additional Low Medical Plan available with lower team member premiums than the current plan option
  • New Low Medical Plan includes:
    • 100% coverage for preventive care and high copays for office visits
    • $5 copay for Tier 1, mostly generic drugs
    • Most other services subject to the deductible
  • New international pharmacy program with $0 member cost
  • The 2024 Medical page contains additional information on the medical coverage available to team members and their families.

New Healthcare FSA Plan

  • Jim Ellis is pleased to announce this new benefit for 2024!
  • A healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a great tax-free way to save on out-of-pocket healthcare expenses for team members and taxable dependents. 
  • The FSA is available for all benefits-eligible Jim Ellis team members, including those not enrolled in the Jim Ellis medical plan. 
  • The FSA is a special account funded through payroll deductions that includes a debit card for convenient access to your funds for eligible expenses.

  • Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m.  - 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

We encourage all team members to attend a 2024 Employee Benefits Open Enrollment webinar. We will cover what's changing and share important Open Enrollment information.

 

 

Important Reminders


The plan year is January 1 - December 31.  After you complete your enrollment, you will receive a Confirmation Statement via email. Please review this statement and contact the Benefits Service Center should you have any questions.

  • It is important that your life insurance beneficiary information is accurate!  You will have the opportunity to review and update this information during your enrollment.
  • You have the opportunity to learn more about your benefits and ask questions during your enrollment by calling the Benefits Service Center.
  • Be sure to have the SSNs for all dependents you wish to cover on your benefit plans.
  • If you are adding a new spouse to the medical plan for 2024, documentation will be required post Open Enrollment.

Medical Cost

Over the past several years, the company has absorbed much of our health plan cost increases and tried to minimize increases in team member health plan contributions as much as possible. If you are exploring individual coverage, contact American Exchange at (888) 995-1674 or by clicking  American Exchange.  American Exchange is able to assist with plan and pricing alternatives as well as subsidy eligibility information.    

ID Cards


Medical Plan Members: One Nova Healthcare ID card is provided for medical and pharmacy coverage.  New ID Cards will be issued by late December.

 

Dental and / or Vision Plan Members: One Anthem ID card is provided for dental and vision coverage (if applicable).  ID Cards will be issued by Anthem by late December for new coverage only.

Enrollment Instructions


Call the Benefits Service Center at (770) 295-1100 or access the Enrollment Portal.

  • Telephonic Enrollment: The Jim Ellis Benefits Service Center is available Monday - Thursday from 8am to 6pm and Friday from 8am - 5pm.  You can speak with a trained Benefits Specialist who will answer your benefits questions and complete your enrollment.  English and Spanish Benefits Specialists are available to assist you.
  • On-line Enrollment: Access the Enrollment Portal. If this is your first time accessing the Benefits Center, you will need to enter your email address as well as the other requested information. The system will use this information to identify you, and will then allow you to create a password.  Your User ID will be your email address moving forward.
  • You will receive a Confirmation Statement via email following the completion of your enrollment.
